{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-81-5-405","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 81-5-405","heading":"Furnishing of information -- Confidentiality.","body":"(1)\n(a) The Office of Vital Records and Statistics shall send a copy of the filing to a person or entity described in Subsection (2), who has requested a copy.\n(b) The copy of the filing shall be sent to the most recent address provided by the requestor.\n(2) Information contained in records that are filed pursuant to Section 81-5-401 is confidential and may be released on request only to:\n(a) a tribunal or a person designated by the tribunal;\n(b) the birth mother of the child who is the subject of the filing;\n(c) an agency authorized by other law to receive the information;\n(d) a licensed child-placing agency;\n(e) the Office of Recovery Services, the Office of the Attorney General, or a child support services agency of another state or tribe;\n(f) a party or the party's attorney of record in a proceeding under this chapter or in a proceeding for adoption of, or for termination of parental rights regarding, a child who is the subject of the filing; and\n(g) the registry of parentage in another state.","path":["Title 81 Utah Domestic Relations Code","Chapter 81-5 Uniform Parentage Act","Part 81-5-4 Registry"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title81/Chapter5/81-5-S405.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"a7b9a46adfe0b3a39c011f6034e06f54bb2d5dbdceb6ebf5faa7f69063291543","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-81-5-404","next":"us-ut/utah-code-81-5-406"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
