{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-81-8-206","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 81-8-206","heading":"Continuing jurisdiction to enforce child support order.","body":"(1) A tribunal of this state that has issued a child support order consistent with the law of this state may serve as an initiating tribunal to request a tribunal of another state to enforce:\n(a) the order if the order is the controlling order and has not been modified by a tribunal of another state that assumed jurisdiction in accordance with the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act; or\n(b) a money judgment for arrears of support and interest on the order accrued before a determination that an order of a tribunal of another state is the controlling order.\n(2) A tribunal of this state having continuing jurisdiction over a support order may act as a responding tribunal to enforce the order.","path":["Title 81 Utah Domestic Relations Code","Chapter 81-8 Uniform Interstate Family Support Act","Part 81-8-2 Jurisdiction"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title81/Chapter8/81-8-S206.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"abcd9f48ce762917e60807408cbcb1a596a16b15afac5de7bc7aba49107207c0","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-81-8-205","next":"us-ut/utah-code-81-8-207"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
