{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-9-7-101","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 9-7-101","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Board\" means the State Library Board created in Section 9-7-204.\n(2) \"Division\" means the State Library Division.\n(3) \"Internet policy\" means the public library online access policy required in Section 9-7-215.\n(4) \"Library board\" means the library board of directors appointed locally as authorized by Section 9-7-402 or 9-7-502 and which exercises general policy authority for library services within a city or county of the state, regardless of the title by which the board is known locally.\n(5) \"Political subdivision\" means a county, city, town, school district, public transit district, redevelopment agency, or special improvement or taxing district.","path":["Title 9 Cultural and Community Engagement","Chapter 9-7 Library Development","Part 9-7-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title9/Chapter7/9-7-S101.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"820a892ec92713d7539a8819016bfa3a188bc163bd79b0a376cfe54730d58c5b","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-9-6-508","next":"us-ut/utah-code-9-7-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
