{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-9-7-313","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 9-7-313","heading":"Law library self-help center.","body":"(1) The Utah State Law Library shall establish a statewide self-help center to assist self-represented parties to achieve fair and efficient resolution of their cases.\n(2) The self-help center shall be staffed or directed by persons admitted to the practice of law in this state. Self-help center personnel may not represent parties or give legal advice.\n(3) The self-help center shall provide to the public and all parties:\n(a) information about:\n(i) the availability of mediation services, and legal advice and representation through pro bono legal services;\n(ii) low cost legal services;\n(iii) legal aid programs; and\n(iv) lawyer referral services;\n(b) information about resources provided by law libraries;\n(c) court forms and instructions, and help completing forms;\n(d) answers to questions about the law, court process, and options; and\n(e) educational materials and other services consistent with the purpose of this statute and the direction of the Judicial Council, including programs in other agencies and organizations.","path":["Title 9 Cultural and Community Engagement","Chapter 9-7 Library Development","Part 9-7-3 State Law Library"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title9/Chapter7/9-7-S313.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"ca88757e7610c239e42409e0c22e7c2ccc937dcfd352dc47674e1994d99bd69f","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-9-7-312","next":"us-ut/utah-code-9-7-402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
