{"data":{"id":"us-va/11vac10-47-20","jurisdiction":"us-va","citation":"11VAC10-47-20","heading":"Pari-mutuel wagering; generally","body":"The commission is authorized to issue licenses to (i) holders of a significant infrastructure limited license or (ii) holders of a satellite facility license to conduct pari-mutuel wagering on historical horse racing for the promotion, sustenance, and growth of a native industry, in a manner consistent with the health, safety, and welfare of the people. Pari-mutuel wagering on historical horse racing shall be conducted so as to maintain horse racing in the Commonwealth of Virginia of the highest quality and free of any corrupt, incompetent, dishonest, or unprincipled practices and to maintain in horse racing complete honesty and integrity.
