The duties of the respiratory therapist shall include:\n\n1. Assessing patient needs;\n\n2. Participating with the IDG in developing a plan of care;\n\n3. Implementing a plan of care and revising as necessary;\n\n4. Evaluating the outcome of the care provided;\n\n5. Educating the patient and family;\n\n6. Providing consultation to other health care professionals;\n\n7. Coordinating and communicating with the IDG regarding changes in the patient's needs;\n\n8. Preparing clinical notes; and\n\n9.
