Each patient shall be observed for post-operative complications under the direct supervision of a registered professional nurse. Recovery room nurses shall have specialized training in resuscitation techniques and other emergency procedures consistent with policies and procedures of the institution for designated special units.\n\nB. A physician licensed in Virginia shall be present on the premises at all times during the operative and post-operative period until discharge of the patient.\n\nC.
