Except as specified in subsection B of this section, equipment, cabinets used for the storage of food, or cabinets used to store cleaned and sanitized equipment, utensils, laundered linens, and single-service and single-use articles shall not be located:\n\n1. In locker rooms;\n\n2. In toilet rooms or vestibules;\n\n3. In garbage rooms;\n\n4. In mechanical rooms;\n\n5. Under sewer lines that are not shielded to intercept potential drips;\n\n6. Under leaking water lines including leaking automatic fire sprinkler heads or under lines on which water has condensed;\n\n7. Under open stairwells; or\n\n8. Under other sources of contamination.\n\nB. A storage cabinet used for linens or single-service or single-use articles may be stored in a locker room.\n\nC. If a mechanical clothes washer or dryer is provided, it shall be located only where there is no exposed food; clean equipment, utensils, and linens; unwrapped single-service and single-use articles; and so that the washer or dryer is protected from contamination.","path":["Title 12.
