{"data":{"id":"us-va/12vac5-550-180","jurisdiction":"us-va","citation":"12VAC5-550-180","heading":"Acceptance of certificates","body":"Each registrar shall examine certificates as they are submitted for registration to determine whether they have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of the statutes, regulations, and instructions. If unsatisfactory, it shall be the duty of the registrar to notify the person responsible for the registration of its defects and to secure a complete and correct registration. Each registrar or his deputy shall note over his signature the date each certificate of birth, death, or report of fetal death was filed with him and shall number consecutively the certificates of birth, death, and fetal death in three separate series beginning with number 1 for the first certificate in each respective series in each calendar year.","path":["Title 12.
