Limited scope accident and sickness insurance while traveling is a separate policy providing accident and sickness benefits only for the limited duration of an insured's trip.\n\nB. A limited scope accident and sickness insurance while traveling policy:\n\n1. Shall not contain preexisting condition exclusions;\n\n2. Shall not contain a waiting period;\n\n3. Shall not contain a deductible applied to benefits;\n\n4. Shall not coordinate benefits with any other accident and sickness policy;\n\n5. Shall not be renewable;\n\n6. Shall not include benefits for trip interruption or trip cancellation; and\n\n7. Shall provide accident and sickness benefits only for the limited duration of an insured's trip.\n\nC. Travel insurance in which the primary purpose of the insurance is trip cancellation or interruption shall be reviewed as miscellaneous casualty insurance in accordance with § 38.2-111 of the Code of Virginia and is exempt from this chapter.","path":["Title 14.
