No minor under 16 years of age shall be employed, suffered, or permitted to work in any nonagricultural occupation:\n\n1. During school hours;\n\n2. More than 40 hours in any one week when school is not in session;\n\n3. More than 18 hours in any one week when school is in session;\n\n4. More than eight hours in any one day when school is not in session;\n\n5. More than three hours in any one day when school is in session; or\n\n6. Before 7 a.m. or after 7 p.m., except that from June 1 through Labor Day, such a minor may work until 9 p.m.\n\nB. No minor under 16 years of age shall be employed or permitted to work for more than five hours continuously without an interval of at least 30 minutes for a lunch period, and no period of less than 30 minutes shall be deemed to interrupt a continuous period of work.","path":["Title 16.
