Professional error in the initial nomination;\n\n2. Loss of historic integrity;\n\n3. Recognition of additional significance;\n\n4. Additional research documenting that a larger or smaller area should be listed.\n\nThe director shall recommend no enlargement of a boundary unless the additional area possesses previously unrecognized significance in American history, architecture, archeology, engineering or culture.
