Content.\n\n1. The content of courses, seminars, workshops, or conferences that may be accepted for continuing education credit includes those topics listed in 18VAC130-20-210 A 2 and this subdivision.\n\nAd valorem taxation\n\nValuation bias\n\nArbitration, dispute resolution\n\nCourses related to the practice of real estate appraisal or consulting\n\nDevelopment cost estimating\n\nEthics and standards of professional practice, Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice\n\nFair housing\n\nLand use planning, zoning\n\nManagement, leasing, timesharing\n\nProperty development, partial interests\n\nReal estate financing and investment\n\nReal estate law, easements, and legal interests\n\nReal estate litigation, damages, condemnation\n\nReal estate appraisal related computer applications\n\nReal estate securities and syndication\n\nDeveloping opinions of real property value in appraisals that also include personal property or business value\n\nSeller concessions and impact on value\n\nEnergy efficient items and \"green building\" appraisals\n\n2. Any course related to valuation bias and fair housing laws and regulations designed to meet the requirements of 18VAC130-20-110 A 5 must meet the content requirements of the Valuation Bias and Fair Housing Laws and Regulations Outline established by the Appraiser Qualifications Board.\n\n3. Courses, seminars, workshops, or conferences submitted for continuing education credit must indicate that the licensee participated in an educational program that maintained and increased the licensee's knowledge, skill, and competency in real estate appraisal.\n\n4. Credit toward the classroom hour requirement to satisfy the continuing education requirements will be granted only where the length of the educational offering is at least two hours and the licensee participated in the full length of the program.\n\nB. Instruction. Although continuing education offerings are not required to be taught by board-certified instructors, the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice course must be taught by an Appraiser Qualifications Board certified instructor who is also a state certified appraiser.","path":["Title 18.
