Disorders and when not to service a client.\n\n6. Professional standards:\n\na. History of ear-piercing;\n\nb. Ethics;\n\nc. Recordkeeping:\n\n(1) Client health history;\n\n(2) Consent forms; and\n\n(3) Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 Privacy Rule (HIPAA) Standards;\n\nd. Preparing station, making appointments, salon ethics:\n\n(1) Maintaining professional appearance, notifying clients of schedule changes; and\n\n(2) Promoting services of the salon and establishing clientele;\n\ne.
