An applicant for examination to be licensed as a residential HVAC tradesman or residential plumber tradesman must furnish evidence that one of the following experience and education standards has been attained:\n\nEducation\n\nExperience\n\n160 hours of formal vocational training in the trade\n\nTwo years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\n120 hours of formal vocational training in the trade\n\nThree years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\n80 hours of formal vocational training in the trade\n\nFour years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\n40 hours of formal vocational training in the trade\n\nFive years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\nNone\n\nSix years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\nB. An applicant for examination to be licensed as a journeyman electrician, plumber, or HVAC tradesman must furnish evidence that one of the following experience and education standards has been attained:\n\nEducation\n\nExperience\n\nBachelor's degree in an engineering curriculum related to the trade\n\nOne year of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\nAssociate degree or a certificate of completion from at least a two-year program in a tradesman-related field\n\nTwo years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\n240 hours of formal vocational training in the trade\n\nFour years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\n160 hours of formal vocational training in the trade\n\nFive years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\n80 hours of formal vocational training in the trade\n\nSix years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\n40 hours of formal vocational training in the trade\n\nSeven years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\nNone\n\nEight years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\nC. An applicant for examination to be licensed as a journeyman liquefied petroleum gas fitter, natural gas fitter provider, or gas fitter tradesman must furnish evidence that one of the following experience and education standards has been attained:\n\nLicense\n\nEducation\n\nExperience\n\nJourneyman liquefied petroleum gas fitter or natural gas fitter provider\n\n80 hours of formal vocational training in the trade\n\nFour years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\n40 hours of formal vocational training in the trade\n\nFive years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\nJourneyman gas fitter\n\nBachelor's degree in an engineering curriculum related to the trade\n\nOne year of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\nAssociate degree or a certificate of completion from at least a two-year program in a tradesman-related field\n\nTwo years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\n120 hours of formal vocational training in the trade\n\nFour years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\n80 hours of formal vocational training in the trade\n\nFive years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\n40 hours of formal vocational training in the trade\n\nSix years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\nNone\n\nEight years of practical experience in the trade for which licensure is desired\n\nD. An applicant for examination to be licensed as a master in a trade must furnish evidence that one of the following experience standards has been attained:\n\n1. Having held a valid residential HVAC tradesman or residential plumber tradesman license in the trade for which licensure is desired for three years;\n\n2. Having held a valid journeyman license in the trade for which licensure is desired for a minimum of one year; or\n\n3.
