The boards hereby delegate to the Executive Director of the Virginia Board of Nursing the authority to issue the initial licensure and the biennial renewal of such licensure to those persons who meet the requirements set forth in this chapter and to grant extensions or exemptions for compliance with continuing competency requirements as set forth in 18VAC90-70-90 E and F. Questions of eligibility shall be referred to the Committee of the Joint Boards of Nursing and Medicine.\n\nB. All records and files related to the licensure of licensed certified midwives shall be maintained in the office of the Virginia Board of Nursing.","path":["Title 18.
