{"data":{"id":"us-va/1vac50-20-5","jurisdiction":"us-va","citation":"1VAC50-20-5","heading":"Definitions","body":"The following words and terms when used in this  chapter shall have the following meanings unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:\n\n\"Chair\" means the  Chair of the Commission on Local Government.\n\n\"Commission\" means the Commission on Local Government.\n\n\"County\" means  a county in the Commonwealth of Virginia.\n\n\"Local government\" means  a county, city, or town in the Commonwealth of Virginia.\n\n\"Locality\" means  a county, city, or town in the Commonwealth of Virginia.\n\n\"Municipality\" means a city or town in the Commonwealth of Virginia.\n\n\"Party\" means  local governments, voters, or property owners initiating a proposed annexation, voters of any community requesting that their community be incorporated as a town, voters petitioning for the transition of a city to town status, or a committee appointed by the circuit court to act for and in lieu of a local government to perfect a consolidation agreement.","path":["Title 1.
