General motorist services signs may be installed along state maintained roadways for gas, food, lodging, camping, and hospital locations that fulfill the needs of the road user and satisfy the following criteria:\n\nGENERAL MOTORIST SERVICES SIGNS PROGRAM\n\nCriteria Summary\n\nGAS(1)\n\nThree miles max\n\nFuel, oil, tire repair (or info), air, free water\n\nPublic restroom\n\nDrinking water and cups\n\n16 hours per day, seven days per week\n\nFOOD(1)\n\nThree miles max\n\nState Board of Health permit\n\nIndoor seating for 20 adults\n\n12 hours per day, six days per week (7 a.m.)\n\nMenu\n\nHours displayed\n\nLODGING(1)\n\nThree miles max\n\nState Board of Health permit\n\n10 or more rooms for rent\n\nOff-street parking for each room\n\n24 hours per day, seven days per week\n\nCAMPING\n\n15 miles max\n\nState Board of Health permit\n\n10 or more camping units\n\nHOSPITAL\n\nContinuous public emergency care\n\nMedical doctor on duty\n\n24 hours per day, seven days per week\n\n(1) General motorist services signs will not be installed  and may be removed at an interchange or intersection if there is adequate  space for the installation of either specific travel services (Logo) signs or  tourist-oriented directional signs, as appropriate.","path":["Title 24.
