The provisions of this section through 4VAC15-430-210, with the exception of 4VAC15-430-200, shall apply to all vessels contracted for on or after November 19, 1952. Vessels contracted for prior to that date shall meet the requirements of 4VAC15-430-200.\n\nB. Where equipment in this section is required to be of an approved type, such equipment requires the specific approval of the U.S. Coast Guard. A listing of current and formerly approved equipment and materials may be found at https://cgmix.uscg.mil/equipment.\n\nC. All hand-portable fire extinguishers, semiportable fire extinguishing systems, and fixed fire extinguishing systems shall be of a type approved by the U.S. Coast Guard and shall have an efficient charge and be in good and serviceable condition as referenced in 4VAC15-430-170.","path":["Title 4.
