Winding drum ropes (all constructions, including rotation resistant):\n\nFor rope lengths less than 3,000 feet:\n\nMinimum Value = Static Load X (7.0 - 0.001L)\n\nFor rope lengths 3,000 feet or greater:\n\nMinimum Value = Static Load X 4.0\n\n2. Friction drum ropes:\n\nFor rope lengths less than 4,000 feet:\n\nMinimum Value = Static Load X  (7.0 -  0.0005L)\n\nFor rope lengths 4,000 feet or greater:\n\nMinimum Value = Static Load X 5.0\n\n3.
