Law-enforcement officers and corrections officers... TOTAL 40 Hours\n\n1. Cultural diversity training... 2 Hours\n\n2. Legal training... 4 Hours\n\nSubjects to be provided are at the discretion of the academy director of a certified training academy and shall be designated as legal training.\n\n3. Career development/elective training... 34 Hours\n\na. Subjects to be provided are at the discretion of the academy director of a certified training academy.\n\nb. No more than four hours may be applied to firearms qualification as provided in 6VAC20-30-80.\n\nB. Jailors or custodial officers... TOTAL 24 Hours\n\n1. Cultural diversity training... 2 Hours\n\n2. Legal training... 4 Hours\n\nSubjects to be provided are at the discretion of the academy director of a certified training academy and shall be designated as legal training.\n\n3. Career development/elective training... 18 Hours\n\na. Subjects to be provided are at the discretion of the academy director of a certified training academy.\n\nb.
