Earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution and graduated from an approved teacher preparation program in theatre arts; or\n\n2. Earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution and completed a major in theatre arts or 33 semester hours distributed among the following areas:\n\na. Directing: six semester hours;\n\nb. Technical theatre: nine semester hours;\n\nc. Cultural context and theatre history: three semester hours;\n\nd. Performance: six semester hours; and\n\ne. Dramatic literature: nine semester hours.\n\nB. Add-on endorsement requirements in theatre arts preK-12. The candidate shall have:\n\n1. Earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution and hold a license issued by the Virginia Board of Education with a teaching endorsement in a teaching area; and\n\n2. Completed 15 semester hours distributed in the following areas:\n\na. Directing: three semester hours;\n\nb. Technical theatre: three semester hours;\n\nc.
