Foundations of adult education;\n\n2. Understanding of the nature or psychology of the adult learner or adult development;\n\n3. Understanding of the knowledge, skills, and processes needed for the selection, evaluation, and instructional applications of the methods and materials for  adults to become college and career ready including:\n\na. Curriculum development in adult basic education or  high school equivalency instruction;\n\nb.  Literacy skills for adults;\n\nc.  Numeracy skills for adults; and\n\nd.  Workforce skills for adults.\n\n4. Understanding of and proficiency in grammar, usage, and mechanics and their integration in writing;\n\n5. Understanding of and proficiency in  andragogy to incorporate writing as an instructional and assessment tool for candidates to generate, gather, plan, organize, and present ideas in writing to communicate for a variety of purposes; and\n\n6. One semester of supervised successful full-time, or an equivalent number of hours of part-time, experience teaching adults.","path":["Title 8. Education","Agency 20.
