Schools may use the Standards of Learning for the family life education program or other education program,  that is designed to promote parental involvement, foster positive self concepts, and provide mechanisms for coping with peer pressure and the stresses of modern living according to the student's developmental stage and has the goal of reducing the incidence of pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases and substance abuse.\n\nB.
