This regulation applies to all persons who own or operate permitted or unpermitted privately owned sewerage systems subject to the Virginia  Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (VPDES) Permit Regulation (9VAC25-31) that treat sewage generated by private residences and discharge more than 1,000 gallons per day and less than 40,000 gallons per day to state waters.\n\nB. Owners or operators of privately owned sewerage systems must demonstrate annually financial assurance in accordance with the requirements of this chapter.","path":["Title 9. Environment","Agency 25.
