The general requirements for making changes to permits are as follows:\n\n1. Changes to a permit issued under this article shall be made as specified under subsections B and C of this section and 9VAC5-80-970 through 9VAC5-80-1000.\n\n2. Changes to a permit issued under this article may be initiated by the permittee as specified in subsection B of this section or by the department as specified in subsection C of this section.\n\n3. Changes to a permit issued under this article and incorporated into a permit issued under Article 1 (9VAC5-80-50 et seq.) of this part shall be made as specified in Article 1 (9VAC5-80-50 et seq.) of this part.\n\n4. This section shall not be applicable to general permits.\n\nB. The requirements for changes initiated by the permittee are as follows:\n\n1. The permittee may initiate a change to a permit by submitting a written request to the department for an administrative permit amendment, a minor permit amendment or a significant permit amendment. The requirements for these permit revisions can be found in 9VAC5-80-970 through 9VAC5-80-990.\n\n2. A request for a change by a permittee shall include a statement of the reason for the proposed change.\n\nC. The department may initiate a change to a permit through the use of permit reopenings as specified in 9VAC5-80-1000.","path":["Title 9. Environment","Agency 5.
