{"data":{"id":"us-vt/10-v.s.a.-1083","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"10 V.S.A. § 1083","heading":"Application","body":"(a) Any person who proposes to undertake an action subject to regulation pursuant to section 1082 of this title shall apply in writing to the Department. The application shall set forth:\n(1) the location; the height, length, and other dimensions; and any proposed changes to any existing dam;\n(2) the approximate area to be overflowed and the approximate number of or any change in the number of cubic feet of water to be impounded;\n(3) the plans and specifications to be followed in the construction, remodeling, reconstruction, altering, lowering, raising, removal, breaching, or adding to;\n(4) any change in operation and maintenance procedures; and\n(5) other information that the Department considers necessary to review the application.\n(b) The plans and specifications shall be prepared under the supervision of an engineer.","path":["Title 10: Conservation and Development","Chapter 043: Dams"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/10/043/01083","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T15:18:51Z","sha256":"333fd96e3abda01c7ebfee764faac5fb47bedc7d5ffc970a45f9891f7784023c","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/10-v.s.a.-1082","next":"us-vt/10-v.s.a.-1083a"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
