{"data":{"id":"us-vt/10-v.s.a.-1310","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"10 V.S.A. § 1310","heading":"Designation of lake in crisis","body":"(a) The Secretary of Natural Resources (Secretary) shall review whether a lake in the State should be designated as a lake in crisis upon the Secretary’s own motion or upon petition of 15 or more persons or a selectboard of a municipality in which the lake or a portion of the lake is located.\n(b) The Secretary shall designate a lake as a lake in crisis if, after review under subsection (a) of this section, the Secretary determines that:\n(1) the lake or segments of the lake have been listed as impaired;\n(2) the condition of the lake will cause:\n(A) a potential harm to the public health; and\n(B) a risk of damage to the environment or natural resources; and\n(3) a municipality in which the lake or a portion of the lake is located has reduced the valuation of real property due to the condition of the lake.","path":["Title 10: Conservation and Development","Chapter 047: Water Pollution Control","Subchapter 002A: LAKE IN CRISIS"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/10/047/01310","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T15:20:51Z","sha256":"04cb9431dd916d27b691414c117b99ba889d8cce9298cf7d69d56a85f84d4350","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/10-v.s.a.-1302-1305","next":"us-vt/10-v.s.a.-1311"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
