{"data":{"id":"us-vt/10-v.s.a.-4572","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"10 V.S.A. § 4572","heading":"Definitions","body":"(a) As used in this subchapter, a minor fish and wildlife violation means:\n(1) a violation of 10 V.S.A. § 4145 (violation of access and landing area rules);\n(2) a violation of 10 V.S.A. § 4251 (taking wild animals and fish without a license);\n(3) a violation of 10 V.S.A. § 4266 (failure to carry a license on person or failure to exhibit license);\n(4) a violation of 10 V.S.A. § 4267 (false statements in license application; altering license; transferring license to another person; using another person’s license; or guiding an unlicensed person);\n(5) a violation of 10 V.S.A. § 4713 (tree or ground stands or blinds);\n(6) [Repealed.]\n(7) a violation of a biological collection rule adopted by the Board under part 4 of this title; or\n(8) except for big game offenses and under revocation offenses, any fish and wildlife violation as defined by 10 V.S.A § 4551 and not otherwise listed in this section shall be charged as a minor violation, provided that:\n(A) the offender has no prior history of fish and wildlife violations;\n(B) no evidence was seized in relation to the violation;\n(C) a criminal warrant was not used in relation to the violation; and\n(D) there is no possibility of forfeiture.\n(b) “Bureau” means the Judicial Bureau as created in 4 V.S.A. § 1102.","path":["Title 10: Conservation and Development","Chapter 109: Penalties and Enforcement","Subchapter 004: MINOR FISH AND WILDLIFE VIOLATIONS"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/10/109/04572","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T15:36:21Z","sha256":"e9da0bf57633653f9fc1ccb6ded5a31aec4ccbb2b4473b0f3253331321a136d9","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/10-v.s.a.-4571","next":"us-vt/10-v.s.a.-4573"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
