{"data":{"id":"us-vt/16-v.s.a.-2101","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"16 V.S.A. § 2101","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) “Participating employee” means a school employee who is eligible for and has elected to receive health benefit coverage through a school employer.\n(2) “School employee”:\n(A) includes the following individuals:\n(i) an individual employed by a school employer as a teacher or administrator as defined in section 1981 of this title;\n(ii) a municipal school employee as defined in 21 V.S.A. § 1722;\n(iii) an individual employed as a supervisor as defined in 21 V.S.A. § 1502;\n(iv) a confidential employee as defined in 21 V.S.A. § 1722;\n(v) a certified employee of a school employer; and\n(vi) any other permanent employee of a school employer not covered by subdivisions (i)-(v) of this subdivision (2); and\n(B) notwithstanding subdivision (A) of this subdivision (2), excludes individuals who serve in the role of superintendent.\n(3) “School employer” means a supervisory union or school district as those terms are defined in section 11 of this title, or a board of cooperative education services formed pursuant to chapter 10 of this title.","path":["Title 16: Education","Chapter 061: Commission on Public School Employee Health Benefits"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/16/061/02101","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:00Z","sha256":"15d9f78805a68dc7b874c7562f50f7e6d2a5b23f37765466b348fa5d89cc5ae6","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/16-v.s.a.-2062","next":"us-vt/16-v.s.a.-2102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
