{"data":{"id":"us-vt/20-v.s.a.-2678","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"20 V.S.A. § 2678","heading":"Short-term rentals; health and safety disclosure","body":"(a) The Department of Public Safety’s Division of Fire Safety shall prepare concise guidance on the rules governing health, safety, sanitation, and fitness for habitation of short-term rentals in this State and provide the guidance to any online platform or travel agent hosting or facilitating the offering of a short-term rental in this State.\n(b) Any online platform or travel agent hosting or facilitating the offering of a short-term rental in this State shall make available the guidance under subsection (a) of this section to a short-term rental operator in this State.\n(c) A short-term rental operator shall:\n(1) physically post the guidance under subsection (a) of this section in a conspicuous place in any short-term rental offered for rent in this State; and\n(2) provide the guidance under subsection (a) of this section as part of any offering or listing of a short-term rental in this State.","path":["Title 20: Internal Security and Public Safety","Chapter 172: Rental Housing Health and Safety"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/20/172/02678","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:04Z","sha256":"9199ca0f801e448eb9b1caf3c8b7e3bc703c17050ac7e20109ba8d2067999ee9","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/20-v.s.a.-2677","next":"us-vt/20-v.s.a.-2681"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
