{"data":{"id":"us-vt/20-v.s.a.-3151","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"20 V.S.A. § 3151","heading":"Definitions","body":"For the purposes of this chapter:\n(1) “Council” means the Vermont Fire Service Training Council.\n(2) “Fire service” means activities related to fire prevention, investigation, or suppression, or fire-related rescue.\n(3) “Firefighter” means a member of a State, municipal, or county fire department or a privately organized fire department who is responsible for fire suppression, prevention, or investigation, or fire-related rescue.\n(4) “Full-time firefighter” means a firefighter who receives compensation for performing fire service duties of a predictable and continuing nature more than 32 hours per week and more than 25 weeks per year.","path":["Title 20: Internal Security and Public Safety","Chapter 179: Vermont Fire Service Training Council"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/20/179/03151","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:04Z","sha256":"066a0f9fddf2aabe204e2af5c9cbc654ba14eee03b02d9740ce3b23bfb4c1a49","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/20-v.s.a.-3136","next":"us-vt/20-v.s.a.-3152"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
