{"data":{"id":"us-vt/20-v.s.a.-4621","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"20 V.S.A. § 4621","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) “Correctional facility” shall have the same meaning as in 28 V.S.A. § 3.\n(2) “Drone” means a powered aerial vehicle that does not carry a human operator and is able to fly autonomously or to be piloted remotely.\n(3) “Law enforcement agency” means:\n(A) the Vermont State Police;\n(B) a municipal police department;\n(C) a sheriff’s department;\n(D) the Office of the Attorney General;\n(E) a State’s Attorney’s office;\n(F) the Capitol Police Department;\n(G) the Department of Liquor and Lottery;\n(H) the Department of Fish and Wildlife;\n(I) the Department of Motor Vehicles;\n(J) a State investigator; or\n(K) a person or entity acting on behalf of an agency listed in this subdivision (3).\n(4) “Public safety agency” shall have the same meaning as in section 1841 of this title.","path":["Title 20: Internal Security and Public Safety","Chapter 205: Drones"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/20/205/04621","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:04Z","sha256":"bd7e6c44a88b3f196652c0fa2fdf75c19cac9dbe973f7d2657a751e5e579662b","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/20-v.s.a.-4604","next":"us-vt/20-v.s.a.-4622"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
