{"data":{"id":"us-vt/23-v.s.a.-3305a","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"23 V.S.A. § 3305a","heading":"Privilege to operate a vessel; suspension of privilege; minimum age for operation of a motorboat","body":"(a) An individual who meets the applicable requirements of this subchapter shall have the privilege to operate a vessel on the public waters of this State, as those waters are defined in 10 V.S.A. § 1422.\n(b) An individual whose privilege to operate a vessel has been suspended shall not operate, attempt to operate, or be in actual physical control of a vessel on the public waters of this State until the privilege to operate a vessel has been reinstated by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles.\n(c) An individual under 12 years of age shall not operate a motorboat powered by more than six horsepower on the public waters of this State.","path":["Title 23: Motor Vehicles","Chapter 029: Snowmobiles, Vessels, and Water Sports","Subchapter 002: VESSELS"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/23/029/03305a","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:05Z","sha256":"ff6786d843b42b191db92d1938206c3ced03b6d0485769bbe996487b712bd47f","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/23-v.s.a.-3305","next":"us-vt/23-v.s.a.-3305b"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
