{"data":{"id":"us-vt/23-v.s.a.-371a","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"23 V.S.A. § 371a","heading":"Exemptions from registration","body":"(a) Notwithstanding any other provisions of law relating to registration fees for trailers, the following shall be exempt from registration:\n(1) wood splitters; and\n(2) pole dinkeys.\n(b) When any such trailer is used upon a public highway it shall have attached a red reflector that shall be so displayed as to be clearly visible from the rear, under normal atmospheric conditions, or a reflectorized slow moving vehicle symbol of a standard type approved by the Commissioner.\n(c) A person in violation of this section shall be assessed a civil penalty of not more than $25.00 for each offense.","path":["Title 23: Motor Vehicles","Chapter 007: Registration","Subchapter 002: FEES AND EXEMPTIONS"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/23/007/00371a","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:04Z","sha256":"3d14a2b74a6ea0e6ccb3b35548e1ada3d0bb9b93ac233fd97520267ee05430b5","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/23-v.s.a.-371","next":"us-vt/23-v.s.a.-372"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
