App. ch. 123, § 304","heading":"Other elective offices","body":"(a) [Repealed.]\n(b) The Town Meeting Moderator shall be elected and shall perform those duties prescribed by the general law of this State.\n(c) The Town Clerk and Treasurer shall be elected for a three-year term and shall carry out the duties of the town clerk and treasurer as specified by statute and by this charter and shall:\n(1) promptly deposit funds in the depositories as may be designated by the Selectboard;\n(2) invest Town funds in the manner designated by statute;\n(3) keep books and accounts as may be required by the Selectboard or the Town Manager in addition to those required by law;\n(4) make reports to the Selectboard or the Town Manager monthly or at other times as they may require showing the condition of the Town’s finances; and\n(5) perform other duties with respect to the Town’s finances as the Selectboard may request.","path":["Title 24 Appendix: Municipal Charters","Chapter 123: Town of Hardwick","Subchapter 003: OFFICERS"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/24APPENDIX/123/00304","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:06Z","sha256":"0c61ed9045b6dc6930468e3f68e82885ae100467e70baa41da924dd06e860888","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/24-v.s.a.-app.-ch.-123-303","next":"us-vt/24-v.s.a.-app.-ch.-123-306"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
