App. ch. 401, § 48","heading":"Reconsideration or rescission of vote","body":"(a) A question considered or voted on at any special meeting of the District shall not be submitted to the voters for reconsideration or rescission, except at a subsequent special meeting duly warned for that purpose, and called by the Board of Supervisors on its own motion or pursuant to a petition requesting such reconsideration or rescission signed and submitted in accordance with subsection (b) of this section.\n(b) Where a petition signed by not less than five percent of the qualified voters from each municipality in the District requesting reconsideration or rescission of a question considered or voted on at a previous special meeting is submitted to the Board of Supervisors of the District within 30 days following the date of that meeting, the Board of Supervisors shall provide for a vote by the District in accordance with the petition within 60 days of the submission at a special meeting duly warned for that purpose.\n(c) A vote taken at a special meeting shall remain in effect unless rescinded at a special meeting called and warned in accordance with this section.\n(d) A question voted on or considered shall not be presented for reconsideration or rescission at more than one subsequent meeting except with the approval of the Board of Supervisors.","path":["Title 24 Appendix: Municipal Charters","Chapter 401: Addison County Solid Waste Management District","Subchapter 005: SPECIAL DISTRICT MEETING"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/24APPENDIX/401/00048","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:07Z","sha256":"cbb27b35e3e99ec70dea228b9879ea7a5b96e0fc2f196a6c9c24d1a7c6cef00f","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/24-v.s.a.-app.-ch.-401-47","next":"us-vt/24-v.s.a.-app.-ch.-401-49"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
