{"data":{"id":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-2402","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"26 V.S.A. § 2402","heading":"Prohibition; offenses","body":"(a) No person shall:\n(1) practice or attempt to practice veterinary medicine or hold himself or herself out as being able to do so in this State without first having obtained a license from the Board;\n(2) use in connection with the person’s name any letters, words, or insignia indicating or implying that the person is a veterinarian unless the person is a graduate of a school of veterinary medicine;\n(3) practice or attempt to practice veterinary medicine during license revocation or suspension;\n(4) transfer a license to practice veterinary medicine; or\n(5) violate any of the provisions of this chapter.\n(b) A person who violates subdivision (a)(1), (2), or (3) of this section or who obtains a license by fraud or misrepresentation shall be subject to the penalties provided in 3 V.S.A. § 127(c).","path":["Title 26: Professions and Occupations","Chapter 044: Veterinary Medicine","Subchapter 001: GENERAL PROVISIONS"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/26/044/02402","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:08Z","sha256":"092f296bfd27592d965b538bcafbea1c970aca0509dd7a8f85a800a482343d72","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-2401","next":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-2403"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
