{"data":{"id":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-3055","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"26 V.S.A. § 3055","heading":"Scope of practice; standard of practice","body":"(a) In order to be eligible for a telehealth license or telehealth registration under this chapter, a health care professional shall hold a license, certificate, or registration in another U.S. jurisdiction that authorizes the provider to engage in the same or a broader scope of practice as health care professionals in the same field are authorized to engage pursuant to a license, certificate, or registration issued in accordance with the relevant provisions of this title.\n(b) While practicing in Vermont using telehealth, a health care professional holding a telehealth license or telehealth registration issued pursuant to this chapter shall:\n(1) practice within the scope of practice established in this title for that profession; and\n(2) practice in a manner consistent with the prevailing and acceptable professional standard of practice for a health care professional who is licensed, certified, or registered in Vermont to provide in-person health care services in that health care profession.","path":["Title 26: Professions and Occupations","Chapter 056: Out-of-State Telehealth Licensure \u0026 Registration and Interstate Compacts","Subchapter 001: OUT-OF-STATE TELEHEALTH LICENSURE AND REGISTRATION"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/26/056/03055","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:08Z","sha256":"d43ff97965170adf8402a226b7c0a7ea7b02ccb24dc0743381d688baf41a35a4","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-3054","next":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-3056"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
