{"data":{"id":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-3193","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"26 V.S.A. § 3193","heading":"Duties of the Director","body":"(a) The Director shall:\n(1) provide general information to applicants for certification as certified peer support providers or certified peer recovery support specialists, or both;\n(2) receive applicants for certification; grant and renew certifications in accordance with this chapter; and deny, revoke, suspend, reinstate, or condition certifications as directed by an administrative law officer;\n(3) explain appeal procedures to certified peer support providers, certified peer recovery support specialists, and applicants;\n(4) explain complaint procedures to the public;\n(5) administer fees collected in accordance with this chapter and 3 V.S.A. § 125; and\n(6) refer all disciplinary matters to an administrative law officer established under 3 V.S.A. § 129(j).\n(b) After consultation with the Commissioners of Health and of Mental Health, the Director shall adopt and amend rules as necessary pursuant to 3 V.S.A. chapter 25 to perform the Director’s duties under this chapter.","path":["Title 26: Professions and Occupations","Chapter 060: Peer Support Providers And Peer Recovery Support Specialists"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/26/060/03193","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:08Z","sha256":"4029540efd2c0f6bc71a72ba10dad6444e9cea63de9cb1400876742d9856382a","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-3192","next":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-3194"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
