{"data":{"id":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-3286","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"26 V.S.A. § 3286","heading":"Exemptions","body":"(a) The provisions of section 3285 of this chapter shall not apply to a person enrolled in a course of study leading to a degree or certificate in audiology at a school accredited by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, provided:\n(1) the activities and services performed constitute part of a supervised course of study;\n(2) the person is designated by a title that clearly indicates the person’s student or trainee status; and\n(3) the person is under the direct supervision of an audiologist licensed in this State.\n(b) In accordance with 21 C.F.R. § 800.30, persons dispensing over-the- counter hearing aids, as defined in 21 C.F.R. § 800.30(b) and meeting the standards established in 21 C.F.R. § 800.30(c)–(f), including self-fitting air- conduction hearing aids, as defined in 21 C.F.R. § 874.3325, shall be exempt from this chapter.","path":["Title 26: Professions and Occupations","Chapter 067: Audiologists and Hearing Aid Dispensers","Subchapter 001: GENERAL PROVISIONS"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/26/067/03286","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:08Z","sha256":"6a89f959f8daf4f0efb39e8b79cda8fe0fa4f0157b0c586ff8f98423c070f260","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-3285","next":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-3287"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
