{"data":{"id":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-3312","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"26 V.S.A. § 3312","heading":"Prohibitions; penalty; exemption","body":"(a) Unless licensed in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, a person shall not:\n(1) perform an appraisal in a federally related transaction when a licensed or certified appraiser is required by the Act; or\n(2) use in connection with his or her name any letters, words, or insignia indicating that he or she is a State certified or licensed real estate appraiser.\n(b) An individual who violates a provision of subsection (a) of this section shall be subject to the penalties provided in 3 V.S.A. § 127.\n(c) A registered appraisal management company shall not be required to be licensed in order to acquire and provide finished appraisals to third parties.","path":["Title 26: Professions and Occupations","Chapter 069: Real Estate Appraisers","Subchapter 001: GENERAL PROVISIONS"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/26/069/03312","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:08Z","sha256":"f19eadbe7f4aba287f42213481422db0418cf8b60d5c868a95d8b6eb82bc2f35","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-3311","next":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-3313"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
