{"data":{"id":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-4093","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"26 V.S.A. § 4093","heading":"Unprofessional conduct","body":"(a) Unprofessional conduct means the following conduct and conduct set forth in 3 V.S.A. § 129a:\n(1) Providing fraudulent or deceptive information in an application for entry on the Roster.\n(2) Conviction of a crime that evinces an unfitness to practice psychotherapy.\n(3) Unauthorized use of a protected title in professional activity.\n(4) Conduct that evidences moral unfitness to practice psychotherapy.\n(5) Engaging in any sexual conduct with a client, or with the immediate family member of a client, with whom the psychotherapist has had a professional relationship within the previous two years.\n(6) Harassing, intimidating, or abusing a client.\n(7) Entering into an additional relationship with a client, supervisee, research participant, or student that might impair the psychotherapist’s objectivity or otherwise interfere with his or her professional obligations.\n(8) Practicing outside or beyond a psychotherapist’s area of training, experience, or competence without appropriate supervision.\n(b) After hearing, and upon a finding of unprofessional conduct, the Board may take disciplinary action against a rostered psychotherapist or an applicant.","path":["Title 26: Professions and Occupations","Chapter 078: Roster of Psychotherapists Who Are Nonlicensed and Noncertified"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/26/078/04093","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:08Z","sha256":"0de3484050d80485995fb933bb06ee3f2fb2628fd1a08be210ba79442d6d736b","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-4092","next":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-4101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
