{"data":{"id":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-4173","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"26 V.S.A. § 4173","heading":"Duties of the director [Effective July 1, 2026]","body":"(a) The Director shall:\n(1) provide general information to applicants for certification as certified community-based perinatal doulas;\n(2) receive applicants for certification; grant and renew certifications in accordance with this chapter; and deny, revoke, suspend, reinstate, or condition certifications as directed by an administrative law officer;\n(3) explain appeal procedures to certified community-based perinatal doulas and applicants;\n(4) explain complaint procedures to the public;\n(5) prepare and maintain a registry of certified community-based perinatal doulas;\n(6) administer fees collected in accordance with this chapter and 3 V.S.A. § 125; and\n(7) refer all disciplinary matters to an administrative law officer established under 3 V.S.A. § 129(j).\n(b) The Director, after consultation with the advisor appointees, may adopt rules in accordance with 3 V.S.A. chapter 25 as needed to perform the Director’s duties under this chapter.","path":["Title 26: Professions and Occupations","Chapter 084: Community-Based Perinatal Doulas [Effective July 1, 2026]"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/26/084/04173","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:08Z","sha256":"f81b863649f0f703491f23525a58890911a27671166edc9945bb95a8777b0e0e","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-4172","next":"us-vt/26-v.s.a.-4174"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
