{"data":{"id":"us-vt/28-v.s.a.-808e","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"28 V.S.A. § 808e","heading":"Absconding from furlough; warrant","body":"(a) “Absconded” has the same meaning as “absconding” as defined in subdivision 724(d)(2)(C) of this title.\n(b) The Commissioner of Corrections may issue a warrant for the arrest of a person who has absconded from furlough status in violation of subsection 808(a) or section 723 or 808a of this title, requiring the person to be returned to a correctional facility. A law enforcement officer who is provided with a warrant issued pursuant to this section shall execute the warrant and return the person who has absconded from furlough to the Department of Corrections.\n(c) A person for whom an arrest warrant is issued pursuant to this section shall not earn credit toward service of the person’s sentence for any days that the warrant is outstanding.","path":["Title 28: Public Institutions and Corrections","Chapter 011: Supervision of Adult Inmates at the Correctional Facilities","Subchapter 003: CARE OF INMATES"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/28/011/00808e","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:08Z","sha256":"8a5ba0fd89a585fa3e22fe1b6408fde6b985f1ae57dedde46e6fd04602e7719b","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/28-v.s.a.-808d","next":"us-vt/28-v.s.a.-809"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
