{"data":{"id":"us-vt/30-v.s.a.-3085","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"30 V.S.A. § 3085","heading":"Certificate of good standing","body":"(a) A district may apply to the Secretary of State for a certificate of good standing.\n(b) A certificate of good standing shall include:\n(1) the official name of the district;\n(2) that the district is duly formed pursuant to this chapter;\n(3) the date of the district’s formation;\n(4) that the fee required by this section has been paid; and\n(5) that a plan of dissolution for the district has not been approved pursuant to section 3083 of this chapter.\n(c) Subject to any qualification stated in the certificate, a certificate of good standing issued by the Secretary of State may be:\n(1) relied upon as conclusive evidence that the district is in existence and is authorized to deliver communications services and operate a communications plant pursuant to this chapter; and\n(2) taken as prima facie evidence of the facts stated in the certificate.\n(d) A district that applies for a certificate of good standing under this section shall pay to the Secretary of State a nonrefundable application fee of $25.00.","path":["Title 30: Public Service","Chapter 082: Communications Union Districts"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/30/082/03085","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:09Z","sha256":"2f1f1a43a9e5abc4e312362e1d1ba7f14827e5d9f23c421e728d4929e11ca81a","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/30-v.s.a.-3084","next":"us-vt/30-v.s.a.-4001"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
