{"data":{"id":"us-vt/30-v.s.a.-7003","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"30 V.S.A. § 7003","heading":"Rulemaking","body":"The Commission shall adopt rules, pursuant to 3 V.S.A. chapter 25 relative to:\n(1) minimum requirements for the operation of the System, including notification procedures and the reporting of underground utility facility locations;\n(2) procedures for the investigation of complaints;\n(3) emergency situations;\n(4) uniform standards for the marking of the approximate location of underground utility facilities;\n(5) uniform standards for the future installation of underground utility facilities, including the following:\n(A) color coding of facilities;\n(B) depth requirements for the laying of facilities;\n(C) subsurface marking of facilities;\n(D) surface marking of facilities;\n(E) the filing of as-built plans of facilities with municipalities; and\n(F) capability for location of facilities by sensors;\n(6) standards for the granting of exemptions under section 7002 of this title; and\n(7) situations where the premarks cannot be found.","path":["Title 30: Public Service","Chapter 086: Underground Utility Damage Prevention System"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/30/086/07003","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:09Z","sha256":"7f6db0aae99487240d00d848e134fc747f6805655b785dcb6a2779e7e3fffae4","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/30-v.s.a.-7002","next":"us-vt/30-v.s.a.-7004"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
