{"data":{"id":"us-vt/33-v.s.a.-3501","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"33 V.S.A. § 3501","heading":"Division of Child Development; duties","body":"The Division of Child Development shall:\n(1) encourage the development of a comprehensive child care services system that promotes the wholesome growth and educational development of children;\n(2) facilitate the development of child care facilities;\n(3) encourage and promote the provision by child care providers of parenting education, developmentally appropriate activities, and primary prevention services;\n(4) facilitate cooperation between the private and public sectors to promote the expansion of child care services;\n(5) promote continuing study of child care needs and the most effective methods by which these needs can be served through governmental and private programs;\n(6) coordinate activities of the Division with other State agencies serving children and families;\n(7) strive to make the State a model employer by encouraging it to offer a variety of child care benefit options to its employees;\n(8) provide training for child care providers;\n(9) support resource and referral services for parents and providers; and\n(10) promote the involvement of businesses and communities in the development of child care services throughout the State by providing technical assistance to providers and potential providers of child care services.","path":["Title 33: Human Services","Chapter 035: Child Care","Subchapter 001: CHILD CARE FACILITIES"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/33/035/03501","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T17:17:11Z","sha256":"fd7b7e064aebf5edcccbfdfe12f7c135e327bfe64b779a11fa8688ed4273e7bb","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/33-v.s.a.-3403","next":"us-vt/33-v.s.a.-3502"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
