{"data":{"id":"us-vt/7-v.s.a.-902","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"7 V.S.A. § 902","heading":"License qualifications and application process","body":"(a) An applicant, principal of an applicant, and person who owns or controls an applicant, who is a natural person:\n(1) shall be 21 years of age or older; and\n(2) shall consent to the release of his or her criminal and administrative history records.\n(b) As part of the application process, each applicant shall submit, in a format prescribed by the Board, an operating plan. The Board shall adopt rules regarding the required components of an application for each type of license.\n(c) The Board shall obtain a fingerprint-based Vermont criminal history record, an out-of-state criminal history record, a criminal history record from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and any regulatory records relating to the operation of a business in this State or any other jurisdiction for each of the following who is a natural person:\n(1) the applicant;\n(2) each proposed principal; and\n(3) each individual who would control the business.\n(d) An applicant who is denied a license may appeal the Board’s determination in accordance with section 847 of this title.","path":["Title 7: Alcoholic Beverages, Cannabis, and Tobacco","Chapter 033: Cannabis Establishments","Subchapter 003: LICENSES"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/07/033/00902","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T13:25:51Z","sha256":"ae40db0e425e8872f5e9302411d12fbe21ad850696ab1c6f5cbd641e77a03b34","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/7-v.s.a.-901a","next":"us-vt/7-v.s.a.-903"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
