{"data":{"id":"us-vt/7-v.s.a.-987","jurisdiction":"us-vt","citation":"7 V.S.A. § 987","heading":"Cannabis Business Development Fund","body":"(a) There is established the Cannabis Business Development Fund, which shall be managed in accordance with 32 V.S.A. chapter 7, subchapter 5.\n(b) The Fund shall comprise:\n(1) a one-time contribution of $50,000.00 per integrated license to be made on or before October 15, 2022; and\n(2) monies allocated to the fund by the General Assembly.\n(c) The Fund shall be used for the following purposes:\n(1) to provide low-interest rate loans and grants to social equity applicants to pay for ordinary and necessary expenses to start and operate a licensed cannabis establishment;\n(2) to pay for outreach that may be provided or targeted to attract and support social equity applicants;\n(3) to assist with job training and technical assistance for social equity applicants; and\n(4) to pay for necessary costs incurred in administering the Fund.\n(d) Amounts from loans that are repaid shall provide additional funding through the Fund.","path":["Title 7: Alcoholic Beverages, Cannabis, and Tobacco","Chapter 039: Cannabis Social Equity Programs"],"source_url":"https://legislature.vermont.gov/statutes/section/07/039/00987","current_through":"2025 session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T13:27:21Z","sha256":"e5334ccc73067846e780ecf295f642fc2bf146670cbd10e8b31c9b4cd6544f04","source_id":"us-vt","stale":false,"prev":"us-vt/7-v.s.a.-986","next":"us-vt/7-v.s.a.-988"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
